Charities and organisations
The success of our last show in 2007 meant we raised £6,000 for local charities and organisations. We donated to Jubilee Gardens, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Prospect Hospice, Cricklade Bloomers, Cinnamon Trust, Swindon & District Animal Haven, Jelly Tots Toddler Group, Cricklade Cricket Club, Cricklade Rugby Club, Minety Dance Club, Young Farmers and Thames, Ashton Keynes and Cricklade Pre-Schools. So not only is Cricklade Show a fantastic day out, it also plays a part in helping the local community.
With a show of this size and stature, it’s incredible that there are only a small number of volunteers on the committee. It’s their dedication to the cause that enables the show to keep on getting better year after year, with the support of the show’s Patron – Badminton Horse Trials Event Director, Mr Hugh Thomas.
